1. Product Overview
1C31219G01 is the core electronic logic board of Emerson Ovation DCS relay output subsystem, completely different from integrated relay cards with built-in relays. It is a standalone plug-in electronic module that must be inserted into a dedicated relay base chassis fitted with mechanical relays to form a complete relay output channel group.
It receives digital control instructions from the Ovation I/O controller via the backplane bus, then outputs drive signals to each relay on the base to switch field high-voltage AC/DC loads. Two base types are supported: the 16-channel G2R base for general low-to-medium current loads, and the 12-channel KUEP Form C base for heavy DC high-current switching scenarios.
The module integrates independent fault diagnosis logic: real-time detection of blown fuses on each relay loop, communication timeout alarm (configurable watchdog), and open/short circuit monitoring. Each channel corresponds to an LED on the front panel to display relay pull-in status and fault alarms. Optical isolation is adopted between the internal DCS logic circuit and the relay drive circuit to block ground potential difference and electromagnetic interference from large field motors and frequency converters, protecting the main control backplane.
